As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, working as a team and always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry points and public areas, assist with access control procedures, and help to maintain orderly lobby and/or ATM area operations in accordance with site guidelines.
• Prepare accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and promptly notify Allied Universal supervision and site personnel of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
