    Who You Are...

    As Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting cash and AR operations by managing daily cash application activities, collecting past due accounts, and maintaining customer account data. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate cash processing, resolving of unapplied balances, responding to customer inquiries and supporting month-end accounts receivable clean-up. The position partners closely with Accountants, regional finance teams, branch operations, and customers to promote operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with the Limbach Way.

    This Position...

    Some examples of the work you might do includes:



    • Processes ACH deposits, check deposits, and credit card payments accurately and in a timely manner; including performing payment corrections as needed.
    • Reviews and manages remittance documentation received via email and customer portals; collaborates with customers to resolve posting discrepancies.
    • Distributes AR statements monthly, or as needed, and responds to customer inquiries related to missing, disputed or misapplied invoices.
    • Researches, processes, and resolves customer refund requests and unapplied cash items.
    • Supports service work order collections, documents collection activity, and partners with Accountants, regional finance teams, and branch operations to resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintains and updates customer banking information and processes customer master file updates in accordance with internal controls.
    • Reconciles weekly cash postings to treasury reporting ensuring all ACH, checks, and credit card payments have been posted timely and accurately.
    • Assists with month-end accounts receivable close and clean-up activities, including reconciliation and aging review, as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives and evolving operational needs.


    What You Need...



    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. OR two (2+) years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience (without a degree).
    • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
    • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external customers.
    • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team-oriented, shared services environment.
    • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Familiarity with Viewpoint or similar ERP/ accounting systems.
    • Experience working in an Accounts Receivable function.

    Work Environment:



    • This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, and scanners.
    • The Company's "Work from Home" policy is applicable to this position.


    Physical Demands:



    • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
    • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
