Zions Bancorporation has an opportunity for an intern to work in our International Banking department. This opportunity is full-time and on-site in one of several locations where Zions' International Banking has offices.

The intern will work on or be exposed to the following:
  • Researching countries and banks. Understanding the qualities which make these economically viable for Zions to take on selected risks.
  • Analyzing bank financial statements and being responsible for writing up credit presentations. Making recommendations to International Banking personnel.
  • Participating in communications with global banks.
  • Review industry research reports to provide a summary of countries, economies, and banking institutions.
  • Assist in completing annual file/loan reviews.
  • Various clean-up/data projects


Qualifications:
  • Currently working on a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related degree
  • Basic working knowledge or interest of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles.
  • Knowledge or interest in working with various types of loans, credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive - not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.
  • Excellent knowledge of adapting off-the-shelf computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc. Strong excel skills.
  • Interest in geopolitical affairs and global economic issues. Overseas travel or having studied abroad experience is valued.


This position is eligible to earn a pay rate of $20/hr
