SOME (So Others Might Eat) provides material aid and comfort to our vulnerable neighbors in the District of Columbia, helping them to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through programs and services that save lives, improve lives, and help to transform the lives of individuals and families, their communities, and the systems and structures that affect them. We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare, and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence. Compensation: Position Description: The Contractor shall provide case management and supportive services to assist participants in identifying and addressing barriers to training and employment, while promoting stability, engagement, and successful program outcomes. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related profession, 2 yrs in case management, counseling, community engagement, development, education outreach, or faith-based organizing. Preferred License/Certification: Social Work License with LGSW or LICSW preferred Schedule: 4 hours a day / 2 x week. To not exceed 8 hours a week. Deliverables
Service Delivery The Contractor shall perform services primarily on-site, as the role requires in-person, one-on-one trainee or counseling meetings, which are essential to effective program delivery. Administrative tasks, including notes management and data entry, may be completed on-site or off-site, provided all required in-person services are fulfilled. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires looking at a computer screen for several hours a day. May be required to sit for long periods.
