Job Overview The Multi-Store Investigator proactively identifies theft patterns and supports stores within a designated market, serving as a liaison between Senior Organized Retail Crime and Store Asset Protection Managers. The investigator develops strategies to mitigate losses and reduce organized retail criminal activity targeting Macy's. What You Will Do
Skills You Will Need Investigative Expertise: Skilled in leading, managing, and coordinating investigations into Organized Retail Crime (ORC), including field surveillance, intelligence gathering, and case management across multiple locations. Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies, retail partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate cooperation, information sharing, and investigative success. Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and monitoring intelligence to identify criminal trends and patterns, support decision-making, and provide data for legislative or organizational initiatives. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings, provide testimony, train teams, and share insights with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, law enforcement, and retail teams. Adaptability and Problem Solving: Resourceful and flexible in responding to changing priorities and complex investigations, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Training and Educational Ability: Experienced in developing and delivering training on ORC trends, indicators, prevention strategies, and investigative techniques to store-level associates and internal teams. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple investigations and projects simultaneously, maintaining thorough documentation, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up. Who You Are
