Vantor is hiring a Deployment Strategist for our AI/ML Mission Solutions portfolio to serve as a forward-leaning solutions architect, bridging customer mission needs with cutting-edge technical capabilities. This role focuses on designing mission-fit solutions, mapping product capabilities to real-world use cases, and driving "the art of the possible" for defense and intelligence customers.

This individual will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Account teams to shape opportunities, develop end-to-end solutions, and support deployments-while influencing the evolution of our AI/ML offerings. Acting as both a technical strategist and customer-facing advisor, the Deployment Strategist plays a critical role in translating emerging needs into scalable, impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, designing end-to-end mission solutions that align AI/ML capabilities with operational needs
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to align solution design with platform capabilities, roadmap priorities, and technical feasibility
  • Map product features to customer requirements and identify gaps, helping drive feature development and enhancements
  • Lead customer engagements including technical discussions, solution workshops, and live demonstrations
  • Drive forward-leaning solutioning by introducing new concepts and capabilities-not just existing product features
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account teams to shape opportunities, support pre-sales efforts, and refine solution strategies
  • Translate customer challenges into actionable inputs for Product (e.g., feature requests, prioritization, and use case development)
  • Support deployment planning and execution, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and mission-ready
  • Provide insights on customer trends, mission needs, and competitive landscape to inform product and growth strategy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Experience designing or contributing to end-to-end technical solutions in a production or customer environment
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and workflows (e.g., Python, model development, MLOps pipelines)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and data/ML pipelines (e.g., AWS or similar)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and/or Sales teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Preferred
  • Experience in AI/ML deployment, including MLOps, model lifecycle management, or data pipelines
  • Background in software development (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar)
  • Experience developing and delivering product demos, proofs of concept, or solution prototypes
  • Familiarity with US Government or defense/intelligence environments
  • Ability to think in terms of product capabilities and translate them into customer value
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovative, mission-driven solutions
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with distributed teams
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with an 80/20 balance of customer engagement and internal collaboration

Pay Transparency: In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $99,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
