SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing leadership, staff development, budgeting, and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Responsible for assuring the clinic provides quality and efficient patient services through the daily management of assigned team. Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including scheduling, hiring, training, counseling, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Performs in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. Follows the facility's standards for ethical business conduct. Conducts self as a positive role model and team member. Participates in facility committees, meetings, in-services, and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides staff development by planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the staff of the Clinic, in cooperation with the Management Team.
Directs a staff which involves the following direct and indirect responsibilities: organizational planning and development, interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, developing objectives, and developing procedures to ensure achievement of objectives.
Provide performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each employee. Write and conduct performance reviews
Provides leadership by planning, developing, and organizing all departments, and by implementing, evaluating, and directing the activities of the staff.
Assists unit managers in the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Establishes and promotes a rapport in and among units to promote interdisciplinary decision-making in daily unit operations.
Implements Organizational policies as directed by the Board.
Interprets/explains the facility's policies and procedures to employees, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc. as necessary.
Promotes an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment, throughout the facility.
Represents the facility at, and participates in, meetings.
Reports operational concerns and makes recommendations to the CEO
Represents the facility in dealings with outside agencies.
Inspects the facility routinely to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented.
Prepares an annual operating budget.
Prepares an annual operating budget to achieve organizational objectives in conjunction with all support and strategic unit managers.
Reviews and interprets monthly financial statements and takes appropriate corrective action in response to variances and trends.
Applies Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles to existing financial and operating systems.
Manages key services.
Interface with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other managers to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provide input on local conditions, identify needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases. Approve schedules and work with other managers to communicate and fill schedules and handle exceptions. Assists staff in planning and conducting ongoing training programs to assure that current material and programs are continuously provided.
Insure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs and develop additional skills.
Respond to and resolve employee relations issues expressed by staff. Create and maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency / effectiveness.
Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy. In conjunction with Human Resources, prepare disciplinary actions and communicate effectively with employees on such actions and make effectiveppropriate decisions relative to corrective action as required.
Meets with unit managers regularly to review progress of operating plan.
Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc. to keep abreast of changes in the long-term health care field, as well as to maintain professional status.
Serves on and/or chairs various committees of the facility and provides written/oral reports as directed or as necessary. Evaluates and implements recommendations from a variety of committees and unit teams.
Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1-year previous operation management experience required; 2-3 years preferred.
Experience in a customer-focused organization
Experience managing, coaching and developing staff.
Proven leadership experience: ability to develop and motivate a team; working knowledge of healthcare industry.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional staff. Must have patience, tack, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as a willingness to deal with patients, staff, and visitors at various maturity levels. Must be able to maintain good staff relations and employee morale.
Must have a working knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to clinic administration. Must be thoroughly familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration. Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation. Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc. to staff, patients, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Assigned support staff to include, but not limited to: Medical Assistants, Medical Secretaries, Medical Receptionists, Medical Records clerks, Clinical Technicians/Technologists/Therapists Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Nurses.
EDUCATION:
M.A., LPN or RN degree or equivalent education and/or experience
Working Conditions:
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility. Sits, stands, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during working hours. Interacts with patients, family members, staff, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions/circumstances.
. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, staff, visitors, etc. under all conditions/circumstances. Is involved in community/civic health matters/projects.
May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. Communicates with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other unit supervisors. Maintains a liaison with patients, their families, support staff, etc. to assure that the patients' needs are continually met. Pay Range:

$71,136.00-$117,353.60
