The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC invites applications for a full-time clinical-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry (Open Rank) in the Department of Endodontics and Periodontics. We seek candidates with a DDS or DMD degree (or equivalent), a valid California dental license or eligibility for licensure, and a certificate of completion from an ADA-accredited program in Periodontics. Candidates should be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Additional qualifications of interest include prior teaching experience in an academic setting, demonstrated research accomplishments, and advanced graduate training (M.S. or Ph.D.) in biology, microbiology, or related fields. Primary responsibilities will include clinical and didactic teaching within the predoctoral dental curriculum. The selected candidate will also have opportunities to develop their research interests. The school provides access to a community of multidisciplinary scientists and mentorship to support the development of a competitive, independent research program.
