The University of Virginia has an exciting opportunity available for a forward-thinking candidate to join the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team with UVA HR and support the academic division. HR Business Partners play a critical role in advancing the vision and strategic priorities of their assigned school, unit, or organization. By effectively leveraging the university's resources, applying creative problemsolving skills, and actively collaborating with colleagues across the institution, they deliver thoughtful, strategic HR guidance to a diverse community of faculty, staff, and leaders. In this role, the HR Business Partner applies deep expertise in human resources strategies, practices, and policies while also maintaining a strong understanding of the business unit's financial landscape, organizational culture, employee engagement, academic mission, and operational goals. This blend of HR knowledge and business acumen enables the incumbent to provide informed, proactive support that aligns people strategies with organizational objectives and drives a positive, inclusive, and highperforming work environment. This position supports schools and units within a complex academic environment and works closely with leaders to provide consultative HR guidance aligned with UVA policy and institutional priorities. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. This position will be hired at the HRBP or Sr. HRBP level based on candidate experience. This is a full-time exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits.
