The Part-Time In-Game Host for the LA Galaxy will serve as the main personality for all home matches and events. The In-Game Host will perform a number of on-camera promotions on match day, including the execution of live promotions, VIP's interviews, fan interactions, live giveaways, sponsor elements, etc. In this role, the incumbent will use their soccer knowledge and entertainment experience to drive fan engagement and make an impact on match days as well as attend external community events and viewing parties. Additionally, this role will collaborate with leaders to provide a world-class experience to all Dignity Health Sports Park guests, employees, performers and clients. Essential Functions
- Execute all on-camera game presentation elements including, fan contests, promotions, video features, interviews, giveaways, game and team news throughout the game
- Work closely with game presentation team and production crew to execute the game-day entertainment script
- Participate in and host community and partner events such as viewing parties, season ticket member events and Soccer Fest Build positive relationships with the local community by being a knowledgeable ambassador of the Club and engage with fans throughout game day
- Demonstrate an upbeat personality and strong on-camera presence to connect with fans, VIP's, staff and clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalency
- 2-4 years Announcing/ Reporting/ Hosting experience required; game presentation experience is preferred
- Comfortable speaking on a microphone in front of large crowds
- Deep understanding of MLS history, soccer rules, Los Angeles lifestyle/culture, pop culture trends, etc.
- Must be proactive and resourceful with great attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize efficiently and quickly
- Good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, fans, children, players, VIP's, etc.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions to include extreme heat or cold.
- Flexible schedule to allow commitment to all LA Galaxy home games, and club events, including some weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet game/event needs
- Additional duties and expectations may be added or changed to meet organization needs
Payscale: $500 per game (18 home games per season) Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements. Benefits:Part-time: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
