The University of Arizona's Athletics Department invites you to apply to the role of Assistant Coach, Baseball. The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success. This is a full time assistant coaching position, reporting to the Head Baseball Coach. The primary function is to assist the Head Baseball Coach in the supervision and coordination of the activities of the baseball program. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Assist with student-athlete
progress toward graduation. - Assist in the
student-athlete recruiting process. - Develop pitchers and assist
with team offense. - Assist the Head Coach with
development of team offense. - Assist with fund raising
functions. - Work collaboratively with
equipment manager and student managers in procurement and use of equipment. - Promote academic, athletic,
and social excellence with baseball student-athletes. - Promote the University, the
Athletics Department, and the Baseball Program through public relations activities. - Budget accountability.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of NCAA
Compliance. - Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. - Meticulous attention to
detail. - Knowledge of NCAA and Conference
rules and compliance. - Self-motivated,
results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor. - Demonstrated organizational
skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities, and successfully manage multiple priority projects. - Demonstrated ability to
develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations. - Demonstrated ability to
communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and project a positive, professional attitude.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's
degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required. - College or professional coaching experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability
to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy. - Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree.
- Four years of college baseball coaching experience.
