Practice Manager I

Under general supervision, this position directs and oversees all daily operations, both administrative and clinical services, for one physician office site, with up to 4 providers, and up to 15 employees. Responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the operations of the office which includes supervising all office personnel, billing and collection procedures within the office, monitoring delivery of patient services, planning for space allocation, and acting as liaison with patients, businesses, hospitals and senior leadership.

Additionally, other duties may be assigned at the discretion of leadership to meet business, customer, and/or patient needs.   • Monitor all daily operations of practice to assure practice runs in an efficient cost-effective manner. Available to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Oversee the coordination of and effective management of human resources and employee education, including implementing effective personnel policies for hiring, training, evaluating/disciplining and discharging employees, contract and temporary personnel.
  • Supervises office personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignments are met for efficient clinic operation. Will oversee the processing of time off requests, attendance tracking and payroll approval.
  • Meet with office staff and providers as needed to report practice and organizational activities, as well as receive feedback from employees and providers that require action and/or communication.
  • Assists with the development of office operating budget and ensures office operates within budget. Take necessary corrective action to keep costs commensurate with the practice objectives and budget.
  • Partner with Provider Compensation team for all Provider Compensation related matters

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

BA or BS preferred, but Associate's degree and/or experience will be considered

One to three years of managerial experience

Healthcare experience preferred
