Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrol in Eugene, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and demonstrate strong communication skills. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to support a secure environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Carry and operate approved firearms and/or other assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
  • Participate in training sessions and drills to remain prepared for emergency situations and to stay updated on security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
