As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. This role is ideal for those comfortable using computers and tablets, and who are adaptable to unique work environments with limited on-site facilities.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access and security-related inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activity, or maintenance issues as observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to address security-related needs and support emergency response activities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
