City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview: Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Postpartum Mother-Baby Unit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse who has compassion and patience for providing special care to our new Moms and Infants. The Sentara Norfolk General Mother-Baby Unit is a 30-bed unit. Our Nurses assess, ensure that proper healing is occurring, and provide self-care education to our new Moms during the post-partum stay. The unit encourages the new Mom to room with their new baby. The Mom-Baby Nurse sees that the newborn is assessed, cleaned, fed, and swaddled, and educates the new Mom on proper infant care. Shift: Full Time Night shift position: 7pm-7am REQUIREMENTS: 1-year RN Experience preferred, new grads welcome!
