VP/Technical Lead Developer

AllianceBernstein L.P. seeks VP/Technical Lead Developer in Nashville, TN to gather business requirements from all stakeholders. Designing / re-engineering investment business processes. Writing technical specifications. Designing database architecture, services including APIs and user interfaces. Developing code, unit testing and manage DEV/QA environments. Assist with integration and end-to-end testing. Establish best practice and review other developers’ code. Supporting the QA team as they write test cases. Facilitating User Acceptance Testing, launch planning and coordination, and post-launch maintenance. Assisting with enhancement prioritization and on-going release management in conjunction with the business. Analyzing and implementing new data models. Providing Level 2 application support. Providing support for ad-hoc data and research requests from the investment team. Providing support for overnight batch jobs. Must appear in office 3 days per week; WFH permissible 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of experience in or in the job offered or a related role. In lieu of degree, employer will accept one (1) additional year of experience in the job offered or a related role for each year missing towards US Bachelor’s degree. Any suitable combination of education, experience, or training acceptable.

Skills: Experience and/or education must include: 

1. C# to design and develop backend APIs and services;

2. Developing high-performing and responsive web applications using Angular/React;

3. JavaScript on web applications to implement interactive user interfaces;

4. Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) to implement web application layout and styling;

5. Utilizing HTML code in Angular/React applications;

6. Developing database code in SQL or MSSQL, Oracle or Sybase databases;

7. Azure DevOps to implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines to deliver applications to users;

8. Azure EventHub and Azure ServiceBus to communicate real-time events between different microservices; and

9. Leveraging Azure Functions to provide scalability to an application.

LOCATION: 501 Commerce Street, Nashville, TN 37203; Must be available in office 3 days per week. Work From home permissible 2 days per week.
