Psychiatric Technician - Bethlehem, PA

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Mental Health experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
• We currently have a Full-time 2nd shift opportunity: 3pm-11pm with a rotation of weekends AND a 3rd shift : 11pm to 7 am with a rotation of weekends.

We are seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our team in our 16-bed Personal Care home in Bethlehem, PA location.

We have multiple shifts available!

Earn $16.25 per hour*

*Take advantage of the opportunity to earn an additional $2 per hour by selecting our Enhanced Pay option!

Position Details

The Psychiatric Technician will:

• administer medication and therapeutic treatments, monitor for potential side effects and report
• provide care in a manner that considers the patient's rights, safety, comfort and the overall therapeutic environment
• observe, document and report resident behavior
• monitor and document weights, blood pressure, pulse and respiration per MD orders and monthly for all residents
• communicate with co-workers and supervisors in a timely manner that affects patient care or well-being
• fill in resident charts
• assist in orientation and training of new staff members, understand, and implement Merakey policies and procedures
• order refills of medications,
• act as lead staff when the Administrator or Asst. Administrator is not available.
• complete all other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
