Job Title: Ocean Freight Pricing Analyst

Job Location: Edison, New Jersey

We have an exciting opportunity for an Ocean Freight Pricing Analyst. In this role you will support our pricing team and be able to analyze and recommend appropriate pricing for DHL Ocean Freight products and services by conducting market analysis, profitability analysis, and revenue simulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Activity: support our pricing team with weekly spot quotes both for FCL and LCL
  • Analyze Market by comparing different Ocean Freight Indexes
  • Pricing Metrics Update for Spot shipments: Update weekly, monthly and quarterly Spot Pricing Metrics for DHL Ocean Products as per received guidelines.
  • Performance Tracking & Improvement: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance, win/hit rate and quotation timeliness. Identify trends and areas for improvement, recommending appropriate process and pricing change for DHL Ocean products and services through performance and profitability analysis.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Creation: Develop and deliver standard and customized reports and dashboards to stakeholders, presenting meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Data Quality: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of internal data implementing ad-hoc governance processes, performing regular quality checks, launching corrective actions and following up with internal stakeholders as needed.

Skills / Requirements:


  • Minimum 1 year of work experience within the transportation/logistics industry
  • Understanding of ocean freight market
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is nice to have
  • Very strong analytical and communication skills
  • BS/BA preferred

Pay Range: $120,093.75 - $160,125.00+ (Based on Experience)
