About this opportunity Ericsson Inc. seeks a Developer (Senior Typescript Engineer - React Typescript) in Austin, TX; Hybrid work policy w/in commuting distance, who will serve to architect, build and maintain Integrated Development Environment (IDE) features like autocompletion, syntax highlighting, error detection, and static code analysis for low-level networking and a proprietary C dialect, using tools like Clangd Language Server for precise code support. What you will do: Embed build systems, custom compilers, and debugging tools into the IDE to support telecom protocols such as 5G, 4G, VoIP, and Open RAN, ensuring 3GPP network standard compliance. Create tools for complex baseband testing, including System Test Plant (STP) setup, network resource management, and application simulations to ensure robust, large-scale telecom software. Partner with SDK architects, software engineers, UX designers, and QA teams to gather feedback, refine requirements, and design intuitive IDE interfaces that align with telecom industry expectations. Identify and resolve performance issues to ensure IDE responsiveness for complex telecom projects. Implement CI/CD workflows to maintain stability and scalability. Write unit and integration tests to verify IDE functionality, using test cases that reflect real-world telecom software challenges for reliability. Provide expert technical guidance, deliver training sessions, and create detailed documentation and tutorials to help teams adopt IDE features You will bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field. **In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept three years of academic coursework towards a Bachelor's degree as the equivalent. Requires 5 years of experience as a software developer or related. 3 years of experience to include: Low-level programming, custom toolchains, and IDE development, involving experience in resolving domain-specific issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating to ensure seamless feature delivery. Language server protocols, code intelligence tools, and workflows tailored to low-level software development; Navigating complex environments, integrate toolchains, and optimize IDE performance to deliver robust solutions. C & C++ programming languages. Compiler behavior, build systems, debugging tools, and static analysis frameworks. Engineering tools and DX (Developer Experience). Streamlining workflows, enhancing developer productivity, and integrating custom tooling. Rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles, ensuring that tooling enhancements can be deployed, tested, and refined based on user feedback in quick development loops. 2 years of experience to include: Creating Linux Desktop applications. Designing and implementing intuitive, high-performance features in a complex IDE environment. Crafting interfaces tailored to developer workflows, balancing functionality with ease of use. Collaborating with users, gathering actionable feedback, and explaining complex technical concepts clearly. Desktop application frameworks, performance optimization techniques, & UX best practices.
