Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Weekdays in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This role requires you to remain highly visible, respond promptly to situations, and foster a welcoming environment for all. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or management.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those specific to armed posts in a government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
