Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Vehicle in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves driving throughout the assigned area and interacting with the public, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and the location's protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive while carrying out assigned duties to help to deter potential threats and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate's degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
