Summary:

The Scheduler role is responsible for triaging need and booking/scheduling interpreter services across MaineHealth. Monitors procedure room schedules to maximize utilization and efficient patient flow. The Scheduler answers basic information questions about Interpreter & Translation Services and provides general customer support on behalf of the department.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: A high school diploma is preferred; two to five years of experience in a health care setting is desirable but not required.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Experience inInterpreter Services field and medical practices and procedures preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Skill in coordinating schedules with multiple variables required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft windows applications.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Familiarity with EMR, Intranet, and other platforms used within a healthcare environment.
