ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly adaptable, self-motivated, and emotionally mature professional to join our Clinical Field team in Puerto Rico. As a Field Clinical Representative, you will provide critical device support-both during implants and follow-ups-across hospitals, clinics, and medical offices as directed by the Regional Sales Team.

This position demands exceptional flexibility, as schedules and assignments can shift rapidly-even within minutes. The successful candidate must thrive under pressure, demonstrate strong self-management and quick learning, and possess the emotional intelligence to navigate complex and sensitive clinical situations professionally.

You will travel frequently across the entire Puerto Rico, as there is no fixed territory, and must be available to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, nights, and weekends, to provide 24/7 clinical support.

The Field Clinical Representative will primarily focus on supporting market share growth at existing and competitive centers by delivering outstanding clinical support and service excellence, aligned with collaborative team-driven initiatives. You will also play a key role in training clinical specialists through in-services, workshops, and other functions related to both clinical and business support.

This is a deeply rewarding position, offering the unique opportunity to directly contribute to patient health and wellbeing while operating in a corporate environment that values compliance, professionalism, and strict adherence to policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical support during cardiac device implants, follow-ups, and patient programming across a variety of healthcare centers.
  • Travel extensively across Puerto Rico-this role does not have a designated territory.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend coverage.
  • Due to the nature of clinical field support, flexibility in working hours and full participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule is essential. This position may require night, weekend, and holiday availability.
  • Respond to rapidly changing clinical demands with professionalism and agility.
  • Train physicians, nurses, and technicians on the theory and application of BSC technology and software.
  • Provide ongoing clinical support for assessment procedures, complex case management, and program development.
  • Assist in the training of new field clinical representatives through in-services, mentoring, and workshops.
  • Support professional education activities by participating in on-site and field training workshops.
  • Manage and maintain commercial inventory and business documentation in alignment with corporate and divisional policies.
  • Track, report, and assist in resolving device and patient-related issues using approved corporate procedures.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, always representing Boston Scientific with integrity in clinical environments.
  • Comply fully with all corporate processes, policies, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Actively participate in regional strategy execution with your team and Regional Manager to enhance market presence.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

* Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Nursing, Business, or a related field.

* Proven adaptability and ability to function effectively in fast-changing environments, including frequent last-minute schedule or assignment changes.

* Demonstrated ability to self-learn rapidly, self-manage effectively, and perform independently in high-pressure, high-stakes clinical settings.

* Strong emotional intelligence and maturity-capable of handling complex or sensitive situations in clinical environments with composure and professionalism.

* Experience or ability to work without a fixed geographic territory, including willingness to travel frequently across Puerto Rico.

* Availability and commitment to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including nights and weekends.

* High level of initiative, accountability, and internal motivation to contribute meaningfully to patient care and team success.

* Solid understanding and application of technical and business concepts, including corporate compliance, policies, and procedures.

* Strong sense of ownership, discretion, and ethical judgment, especially when representing the company with healthcare providers and patients.

* Early or intermediate knowledge of industry standards and cardiovascular care is preferred (e.g., electrocardiography, electrophysiology, anatomy, and physiology).

* Effective team collaboration skills, with a willingness to mentor, train, and contribute to a shared mission.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with physicians, nurses, and stakeholders.

* Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages across clinical and corporate environments.
