The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Purification Development Department Summary At Genentech Technical Research & Development Gene Therapy, we commit to discovering, developing and delivering gene therapies, and we challenge the inevitability of genetic diseases, including hemophilia, ophthalmic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, in ways unimaginable - until now. We use adeno-associated viral (AAV) vectors as our platform for gene delivery. This internship position is located in Philadelphia, on-site. The Opportunity The purification downstream team is seeking a highly motivated and innovative undergraduate/master student for a 6-month intern/co-op position. The position will be primarily a lab-based role, responsible for developing robust and scalable purification processes to support early and late phase gene therapy products in our innovative pipeline projects.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Philadelphia is $45.00-$50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
