What this job involves:-Building Management position responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and overseeing critical building infrastructure including HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, safety compliance, and contractor management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, heating, ventilating, filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Review logs as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment and report any problems/malfunctions on an as-needed basis while performing preventive tasks when required
  • Oversee repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems and work with UPS systems and generator functions
  • Ensure adequate inventory of tools and supplies to operate the building by preparing and submitting purchase order requests, developing sources for stock materials, and performing periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions
  • Oversee contractor activities within the building and work with the site Operations Manager while understanding the Statement of Work that is in place
  • Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate remediation to ensure staff and occupants work in a safe environment
  • Implement, administer, and manage safety training programs while ensuring compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operation
  • Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation including up-to-date building drawings, single-lines, and documentation mandated for regulatory compliance with Federal, State, or Local law
  • Work with Local QRA & EH&S Management to ensure compliance
  • Supervise and manage workflow, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed within SLA Standards
  • Assign work orders as needed to employees or vendors while demonstrating leadership and taking ownership

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years Lead Tech / Tech II experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good computer skills including Word/Excel/MS Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fire safety systems, sprinklers, and alarm systems
  • Familiarity with boiler operations and water treatment systems
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with preventive maintenance scheduling and work order management
  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday

Salary/Comp: $35.00 - $38.88 per hour

Estimated compensation for this position:

72,800.00 - 80,870.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
