Shipping Clerk (one opening)

• Looking to pay $23-25/hour
• 2^nd shift. M-F, 3 pm - 11 pm (training on 1^st for a few weeks)
• Preferably with paperwork experience/computer skills
• This job requires more than just forklift, including paperwork, unloading trucks, etc.

Competencies (required education, training, skills, and/or experience)

High School education or equivalent

1. Minimum 1-3 years of shipping experience
2. Some experience driving forklift
3. Strong communication skills
4. Basic computer skills

Primary Responsibilities (functions, job duties, tasks, etc.)

Package product for shipping.

1. Load and unload trucks.
2. Operate forklift and pallet moving equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
3. Verifies incoming material against bill of lading.
4. Creates shipping paperwork.
5. Exercises responsibility for the prevention of loss or damage of assigned equipment, company properties, and customer material.
6. Notifies supervisor of any problems that will affect quality or scheduled delivery times.
7. May coordinate shipping arrangements with customers and trucking firms.
8. May deliver materials to appropriate location on plant floor.

Organizational Relationships (primary contacts/interfaces)

1. Reports to the Shipping Supervisor.
2. Regular contact with all plant employees.

Physical Demands

Able to stand for 8 hours in a day.

1. Able to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodations repetitively with a 70-pound maximum
