Position Summary

Based in New York and reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Strategic Pricing, the Analyst will be a key member of the Global Strategic Pricing Team. The team members are located in London and New York and work with partners across the firm.

Duties will include assisting with the preparation of global client and matter fee agreements, monitoring agreements and preparing analyses of pricing and profitability.

The job holder will also work on ad hoc projects and initiatives.

Duties and Accountabilities1
  • Assist partners with the preparation of matter fee proposals, modelling pricing and profitability scenarios to achieve optimal pricing outcomes
  • Assist with routine or ad-hoc requests for pricing & profitability reports/analysis
  • Assist with the maintenance of the pricing governance database including Global Pricing Committee approvals and win/loss metrics as well as others
  • Prepare reports on pricing and profitability metrics at various stages of matter/client rate agreements
  • Monitor and maintain the global database of pricing agreements
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of budgets in the Matter Planning Tool
  • Monitor expiring agreements for the firm's key clients
  • Prepare pricing and profitability analysis to identify trends and best practices
  • Provide training and support on the various Pricing related tools
  • Assist with the preparation of global client rate agreements, including preparing historical financial analysis and modelling prospective profitability scenarios to achieve optimal pricing outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar would be preferable
  • Experience of working with pricing models in a large commercial organization essential
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills essential; advanced knowledge of data modeling and MS Excel preferred
  • A confident communicator who provides clear guidance and advice, both verbally and written, to internal clients including senior partners
  • Strong team player, willing to "roll up their sleeves" and get things done
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, accurate, and high levels of attention to detail
  • Flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to manage own workload and priorities to meet deadlines
Location and Reporting
  • This role is based in the New York office
  • This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Strategic Pricing.
