Position Summary

At Deriva Energy, we're accelerating the transition to clean energy through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. We're looking for a dynamic leader to help us scale smarter - someone who can turn data into insight, insight into action, and action into measurable results.

As the Performance & Operations Excellence leader, you'll build the frameworks that drive accountability, alignment, and continuous improvement across our fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting across business units.

  • Partner with the VP and senior business leaders to define KPIs, operational scorecards, and success measures.

  • Facilitate strategic planning, goal alignment (OKRs or similar frameworks), and quarterly business reviews.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improved cross-functional collaboration.

  • Oversee programs that enhance culture, engagement, and productivity analytics.

  • Support change management and organizational effectiveness initiatives tied to company priorities.

  • Lead or contribute to special projects that bridge People, Property, and business performance goals.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in our Charlotte NC corporate office. Relocation assistance may be available for well-qualified candidates to support a smooth transition to the area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degreeAND eight (8) years or more of related work experience

  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND 13 years or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Master's degree or certification in business, analytics, or process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.

  • Proven experience in business performance, strategy, or operations excellence, ideally in a high-growth or transformation environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency with performance management tools, data visualization, and dashboarding platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and project management skills; able to influence across HR, operations, and executive functions.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to connect strategic priorities to operational execution.
