What will I do as an Analyst IV - Business Intelligence & PowerBI Integration at The GIANT Company?
We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst IV with advanced expertise in financial analysis, business intelligence and Power BI to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in evaluating business performance, forecasting and developing actionable insights to support financial and strategic decision making.
A key focus of this position is transforming financial data into strategic dashboards and analytical models using Power BI. This position will lead the Power BI effort by partnering closely with other cross-functional teams to build complex dashboards to deliver meaningful insights, track performance and drive continuous improvements in support of both the Finance team and our business partners.
Financial Analysis of Business Initiatives
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate business initiatives, including sales programs, pricing strategies, operational efficiencies and cost-savings projects
- Develop financial models, ROI analysis, and scenario planning tools to assess feasibility and expected business impact
- Partner with cross functional teams to gather key inputs, validate assumptions, and translate business requests into financial insights
- Monitor initiative performance vs forecast, identify risks, opportunities, and key drivers of financial results
- Prepare and deliver clear financial reports, dashboards and executive-level presentations that support data-driven decision making and strategic planning
Power BI Development and Management:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide strategic recommendations based on analytical findings.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data integration, transformation, and visualization.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs), business metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain Power BI security roles and data access controls.
Business Intelligence Strategy and Training:
- Lead and manage BI projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Contribute to the development of the overall BI strategy, including the integration of Power BI with other data systems and tools.
- Stay up to date with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve BI processes and tools.
- Provide training for peer groups and provide support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
Data Integration and ETL Processes:
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into Power BI.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure seamless data flow and availability.
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document BI solutions, including data sources, data models, report designs, and processes.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI projects, including design specifications, user guides, and process flows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business intelligence, or data analytics, with a strong focus on delivering insights for business performance and strategic initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Report Server), DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and dashboard/reporting development.
- Strong financial modeling skills including ROI analysis, forecasting, budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Power BI certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience with additional BI tools or platforms is a plus.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

What are the details?
- Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. and will require 3 days a week in the office.
- Reporting: The Analyst IV - Business Intelligence & PowerBI Integration reports into the Finance Manager within the Finance Team.
