Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication and a caring approach. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or situations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors and Allied Universal management.
• Document all incidents and relevant activities according to company and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
