(UEI) at Sacramento State is seeking a Fellow Advisor and Coordinator for Career Center/Sacramento State College Corps. The Sacramento State College Corps program is where college students help community efforts, learn new skills, network, and find out what working in their future career fields might feel like. This program is part of a bigger effort by California Volunteers to encourage students to: help with important projects in education, food distribution, health, community and environmental partnerships; succeed in school and prepare for their future careers; work with local agencies and non-profits to alleviate local issues. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position, with a defined contribution retirement plan through TIAA. (The position is not covered under the California Public Employees’ Retirement System.) Continued employment in this position is dependent upon funding and the mutual consent of University Enterprises and the employee, and either University Enterprises or the employee, can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS With or without a reasonable accommodation: Sit for extended periods; frequent movement; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computers, telephones, copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines; and lift or move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a hybrid office environment and remote work environment. Also includes continuous contact with staff, students, campus community, and occasional travel to community partner sites and event or service sites. Occasional weekend and evening work is also required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The position performs general advising and coordination of services for 60-100 Sacramento State fellows to fulfill the outreach, recruitment, retention, compliance, training, career development, leadership development, service-learning, and reporting objectives of the fellow experience. The position reports directly to and receives general supervision from the Fellow Advisor Supervisor and Coordinator and the Project and Community Partnerships Director. The position may provide work direction to student assistants and collaboration with staff, campus partners, coalition partners, and community partners.
