Directly responsible for opening/closing the restaurant and assuring all staff arrives for shifts on time, in uniform. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. Efficiently cook and assemble a variety of menu items-including breakfast and lunch-on a cooking line. Must be proficient with a variety of cooking methods like grilling, frying, etc. Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to meet standards for quality and visual presentation. Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation always, to ensure smooth and efficient service. Monitor inventory levels and assist with purchasing. Secondary Responsibilities: Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Shovel Snow Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided) Technical - Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally and assist lifting up to 100lbs. Additional - Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication, basic math Minimum time in related position - 2 years kitchen experience, at least 1 year at TheOutback
