Job Overview:

The Pricing Associate supports the development, analysis, and preparation of cost and pricing proposals in response to Federal Government solicitations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that pricing submissions are strategic, competitive, and compliant with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgment, analytical rigor, and professional discretion while collaborating across departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of pricing data. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and prepare cost and pricing data for proposals, modifications, and other client requests.
  • Build and maintain complex pricing models and financial analyses to support competitive proposal strategies.
  • Evaluate solicitation requirements to ensure pricing submissions align with contractual, regulatory, and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with program management, contracts, human resources, and finance teams to validate cost assumptions and ensure consistency across proposals.
  • Interpret and apply Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) to pricing strategies.
  • Research and analyze labor categories, market rates, and indirect rates to support competitive and compliant pricing structures.
  • Prepare cost narratives and documentation that justify pricing methodologies and assumptions.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding pricing risks, cost drivers, and potential efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing tools, templates, and processes to enhance proposal efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support internal pricing audits and compliance reviews as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in pricing, finance, or business analysis (experience in government contracting preferred).
  • Understanding of Federal Government cost principles, pricing methodologies, and proposal development processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Positive, professional attitude and commitment to accuracy, ethics, and continuous learning.
  • Experience with cost estimating tools or pricing systems is a plus.

Security Requirement

  • Tier 1 Background Investigation required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

The pay range listed represents a good-faith estimate, in accordance with pay transparency requirements, and may vary depending on the candidate's experience, education, and other job-related factors.
