Position Summary

The People Operations Manager is a critical, hands-on role responsible for optimizing and managing the core HR infrastructure, processes, and systems that support our US-based headquarters and global team. This individual will be a key driver of operational efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience, all while navigating the unique demands of a tech environment. Expertise in Workday administration or other industry HRIS a must and comprehensive knowledge of global People practices, including benefits administration and leaves of absence, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS & People Systems

  • Serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert for the HRIS platform, Workday (HCM, Benefits, Absence, etc.).

  • Manage Workday configurations, data integrity, security, reporting, and process improvements to ensure scalable, automated, and streamlined People workflows globally.

  • Develop and maintain robust reporting and analytics within Workday to provide data-driven insights to leadership on workforce trends, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead the implementation and integration of new modules or external People technologies.

Global Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure company-wide compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all US locations, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a global mindset.

  • Immigration: Serve as the internal point of contact, partnering with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to manage end-to-end immigration processes, including visa petitions (H-1B, L-1, O-1, Green Cards), compliance, and mobility for global talent.

  • Develop, update, and implement US and global People policies and procedures to ensure consistency, scalability, and adherence to legal requirements.

  • Oversee internal and external audits (e.g., EEO-1, VETS-4212, SOX/internal controls, I-9 compliance).

Employee Programs & Administration

  • Benefits Administration: Manage the end-to-end administration of all US and global employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance), including open enrollment, vendor management, claims resolution, and compliance.

  • Leave of Absence (LOA): Own the comprehensive administration of all US-based leaves of absence (FMLA, statutory, company-specific, and accommodation requests), ensuring compliance, accurate tracking, and a supportive employee experience.

  • Oversee seamless onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions.

  • Manage the People Operations help desk, ensuring timely, accurate, and empathetic resolution of employee inquiries.

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner closely with the Finance team on payroll processes, IT members on systems administration and the Legal team with compliance requirements.

  • Partner closely with the Business Partners on sensitive employee matters.

  • Provide accurate and timely People metrics and insights to the Executive Team and others, specifically focusing on data integrity, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains to ensure the People function can scale effectively with the company's growth trajectory.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in People Operations or HR roles, with significant responsibility for HR systems and global scope.

  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS administration (Workday knowledge is a plus), configuration, and reporting is a requirement.

  • Strong knowledge of US employment law, particularly in LOA administration (FMLA, ADA) and Immigration/Mobility.

  • Proven ability to manage and scale People processes in a fast-paced, high-growth, or equity-backed technology company.

  • Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of integrity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred
  • Relevant People certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).

  • Experience partnering directly with Finance, IT and Legal teams.

  • Experience in the technology or cybersecurity sector.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$130,000 to $152,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
