Job Summary

The President of the Prisma Health Neurosciences Institute provides operational oversight to all clinical, academic, and research activities in Neurology. The position establishes and maintains physician engagement, alignment, and clinical appropriateness for the broad strategic work that is conducted by the Institute. The position partners with the Chief Clinical Officer of the medical group to ensure that our Neurosciences services are clinically sound, and that the clinical perspective is included in our strategic initiatives. The position works with the administrative leader of the Neurosciences Institute as a dyad partner in strategy development, medical group operations, and alignment with the acute setting. This role will require 0.8 FTE of administrative time commitment.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains and executes a detailed engagement and communication plan with physicians around our Neurosciences services, clinical research, and program initiatives.

  • Works directly with Neurosciences team members on specific initiatives.

  • Actively recruits physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and additional staff as needed to support the functions of the Neurosciences Institute.

  • Manages specific projects as needed.

  • Act as medical expert in dealing with vendors and external partners that work within the organization.

  • Participates in various administrative meetings.

  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, independent physicians, and staff.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have two or more direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Master's degree or actively enrolled in a relevant Master's degree program.

  • Experience - Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience in relevant area of responsibility. Three (3) years of progressive management, program, and business development experience. Clinical experience preferred.
