A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst and Data Architect with deep expertise in pharmaceutical Market Access and Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data. The successful candidate will design and implement data frameworks, identify and resolve data gaps, and develop analytics-ready datasets (ARDs) that support business insights and decision-making. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) for a 3-month assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Framework & Strategy
- Develop a comprehensive patient journey framework leveraging Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data to enable visibility into patient access and adherence.
Data Quality & Gap Analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable data and analytics requirements. - Investigate and identify data gaps within SP datasets that may impact downstream analytics or reporting.
Analytics Ready Data (ARD) Development
- Design and document business rules and logic to systematically capture and address these gaps. - Proactively design and implement data quality control (QC) rules to ensure SP data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. - Design and develop Proof of Concept (POC) ARDs with the appropriate level of detail (LOD) aligned with analytical needs.
Qualifications
- Pressure test ARDs, data models, and stored procedures for efficiency, scalability, and quality. - Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize data structures and ensure alignment with business use cases. - 8-10 years of experience working with pharmaceutical data related to contracting, claims, and market access.
Position Details
- Minimum 3 years of deep, hands-on experience with Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data, IQVIA LAAD, Payer Spine and MMIT - Proven experience in patient tokenization processes and the development of corresponding business logic. - Extensive experience in Analytics Ready Data (ARD) design and development, including data modeling and transformation. - Strong understanding of data architecture principles, business rule design, and quality control automation. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity. * Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week)

* Reports To: Sr Director, Patient Services and Market Access Analytics The anticipated hourly pay range for this part-time-time position is $100hr - $125hr. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity.
