Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
Position Summary:
Ardelyx is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner with experience driving and supporting HR programs and initiatives. The Senior HRBP will report to the Vice President, HR Business Partner and will partner with our expanding HR team. Our successful candidate will understand the importance of building relationships, influence-based partnerships, trust building, empathetic professionalism, and solid communication while continuing to strengthen and nurture a strong and cohesive company culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and a passion for developing high-quality programs, tools, and resources. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an HRBP and resource by providing hands-on expertise and practice in multiple areas of human resources to both managers and employees
  • Collaborate with assigned department management on all day-to-day aspects of HR toward helping them reach their company goals and in areas such as organizational design, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent development, and workforce planning
  • Partner with management team to understand their business; establish positive employee relationships and a high level of employee morale
  • Manage employee activities such as recruitment, talent management, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, retention, and diversity and inclusion
  • Partner with broader HR team to use internal and external resources to implement programs related to employee engagement, learning, and performance management
  • Take a hands-on approach to all HR related initiatives while successfully monitoring the "pulse" of the employees
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to promote a positive working environment that is inclusive, high performing, and creative
  • Lead and manage ad-hoc projects with a flexible team player mindset and open to meeting the needs of business
Qualifications:
  • Requires a BA/BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources or related discipline, with 8+ years relevant, hands-on practice and experience in the HR field or equivalent experience
  • HRBP experience working with a Commercial team in the life sciences is essential and highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills are required, as well as being an active listener and a team player
  • Solid skills in the Micro-Office suite
  • Able to coach management on leadership skill
  • Must be highly approachable, positive, and professional
  • Strong relationship skills with ability to gain trusted advisor status to HR team, employees, and leadership
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Human Resources legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures
  • Experience working in small-mid size commercial companies, a major plus
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $137,000-$167,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
Ardelyx also offers a robust benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with generous employer match, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, up to 12 weeks of living organ and bone marrow leave, equity incentive plans, health plans (medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, flexible time off, annual Winter Holiday shut down, and at least 11 paid holidays.
