GENERAL SUMMARY

The Training & Technical Marketing Manager brings deep industry expertise and comprehensive knowledge of both DeZURIK and competitive products. With a strong understanding of valve applications and processes, the Training & Technical Marketing Manager translates technical insight into high-value content and training that strengthens sales strategies and drives market success.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Develop and present in-person valve technical training seminars and online webinars for representatives, customers, and/or team members. Provide technical expertise for the development of both basic and advanced training programs, including facilitation of our new sales rep training. Ensure that DeZURIK's online Learning Management System is robust and up-to-date in order to adequately prepare attendees for in-person hands-on training.
  • Organize, prepare, and deliver presentations for customers and industry experts at professional conferences and major trade shows in order to influence and persuade customers to purchase DeZURIK products. Works with outside sources as required to ensure data supporting claims is accurate and verifiable. Requires in-depth knowledge of the industry and expertise to establish high-level credibility with customers.
  • Plan, organize, and create technical content for marketing programs and campaigns that increase brand preference for DeZURIK products. Examples include writing technical white papers, case studies, application success stories, feature articles for publications, bulletins, animations, videos, and other marketing content. Work with customers, industry experts, and other sources to develop materials that clearly demonstrate how DeZURIK products lower costs, increase production, reduce downtime, or otherwise improve the total cost of ownership for our customers.
  • Research industry applications and competitive products, using that information to create sales tools and strategies that define our distinct selling advantages and clearly differentiate DeZURIK products from other valve product lines. Use background and experience in the industry to develop effective sales tools such as industry process diagrams, competitive comparisons, battle cards, suggested specs and application data.
  • Provide technical expertise for the development of DeZURIK software programs, including Alpha-I Control Valve Sizing program, Material Selection Guide, APSLIDE Air Valve Sizing program, and others.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the valve industry or closely related technical field


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position, including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Must be able to see and move throughout the plant in order to resolve work problems and facilitate processes.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.
  • Travel for the company, including both domestic and international travel, may be required for project/systems support.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron, and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $95,826 to $119,782 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
