*Desktop Support Technician - Job Description* We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across a range of hardware and software platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise environments and a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and patch management.
*Key Responsibilities:* * *Hardware Support & Troubleshooting* * Provide technical support for HP desktops/laptops, MacBooks, printers, and other peripheral devices. Perform hardware diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades as needed. * *Software & Network Configuration* * Troubleshoot software issues and validate functionality of connected devices such as badge readers, modems, and displays. Configure IP settings and ensure proper network connectivity. * *Patch Management & System Updates* * Apply and monitor Windows 10/11 updates and patches to maintain system security and performance. Ensure compliance with organizational standards. * *Documentation & Communication* * Maintain accurate records of support activities using QA systems such as SharePoint and Excel. Communicate clearly with team members and end users, supporting root-cause analysis and resolution tracking. *Qualifications:* * Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments. * Strong knowledge of hardware components and replacement procedures. * Familiarity with IP configuration and patch management tools. * Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
