Security Officer - Badge Access Specialist

As a Security Officer - Badge Access Specialist in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting with access management, and delivering outstanding customer service to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to the logistics and distribution location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols, responding to various situations as they arise.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing questions and assisting with directions or information relevant to the site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, occurrences, and incidents in daily activity reports or incident logs as required by Allied Universal.
• Collaborate with other team members and site personnel to support security-related functions within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
