The Sales Director will be responsible for elevating the client portfolio at Phase2 by bringing in and securing new client relationships. This role will be an individual contributor, similar to a Senior Business Development expert, but will need to have deep experience in consulting in a technical, professional services environment.

They will lead prospecting pursuits with support from marketing, creative, solutions and subject matter experts from across Phase2. The ultimate goal for this role is to win new business and build high value accounts by selling Phase2 services to enterprise U.S. health and wellness companies .

The responsibilities include: identifying new relationships and opportunities, nurturing ongoing relationships with agency partners for lead generation purposes, writing proposals, pitching services, and contracting agreements.

The role is in constant communication and coordination with Phase2 marketing and solution teams in order to better understand current market challenges that can be answered by what Phase2 can offer. They understand the breadth of our capabilities, are aware of what we're currently delivering for our clients, and are able to craft messages that explain how Phase2 can address our potential buyer's pain points. They are consistent in their follow-up and can identify strategic trigger events that move a prospect down the funnel.

They are bold and comfortable having conversations, qualifying leads in a way that builds trust in Phase2. They consistently update prospect activity and are responsible for accurate up-to-date reporting in Hubspot and Salesforce. This position reports to: VP, Sales

Job Responsibilities
  • This role is expected to sell at least $3,000,000 in new sales
  • Leverage engagement capabilities to reach prospects within the healthcare space
  • Build, manage, and continually develop a sales pipeline to achieve targets
  • Clearly and effectively communicate our agency differentiation and value proposition to future clients and the industry at large
  • Work with solution-oriented team members to craft and deliver proposals, presentations and other supporting documents as needed to close new business opportunities
  • Promote, market and align sales initiatives with agency partners like Acquia, Yext, and Sitecore
  • Interface with the Phase2 Revenue Operations and Legal teams, and follow the clients' procurement processes to ensure successful closure on contracts
  • Consult with the team on omnichannel campaigns, including promotion of events (both in person and virtual).
  • Introduce people to Phase2 at events, bringing appropriate contacts into the funnel
  • Write relevant and personalized communications for prospect development
  • Prepare and execute meetings with prospects that are opportunity-focused
  • Maintain healthy, accurate, and up-to-date lead and contact data in Salesforce and Hubspot, making lead generation status transparent and accurate for all
Minimum Qualifications
  • Business development experience, 7+ years
  • Self-starter, fan of autonomy, but loves to collaborate
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships within the health and wellness industry
  • Experience selling DXP implementations and CX services for websites, mobile apps, and digital health solutions
  • Experience selling complex, multi-discipline, high value ($250,000+ and going well beyond $1,000,000) services and solutions and a track record of achievement
  • Experience in a client services organization, preferably on projects with top tier consulting firms or digital agencies (including web, mobile, brand, and digital strategy consulting projects)
  • Critical thinking, especially when assessing the opportunity with a prospect
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies and creative design lifecycle
  • Ability to write strategic communications using multiple marketing channels
  • Ability to work independently and also to collaborate when necessary to creatively solve problems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting background a plus
  • Experience working with health systems on digital products that require complex integrations with EHR systems, Find a Doctor solutions, and others a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile, iterative application development methodologies
  • Specific knowledge of business strategy and ROI for full breadth of healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of common web-based applications including digital experience platforms (DXP), hosting, marketing automation tools, contact relationship management, and online portal solutions

What the Environment Looks Like Physical Demands
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
