About the RoleThe Security Specialist III role is a highly skilled and experienced position responsible for supporting and administering organizational security operations. This role involves preparing and executing procedures and processes throughout different areas of the organization. The role leverages expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will support and administer organizational security plans and operations while executing procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property. You will prevent day-to-day damage, vandalism, and loss through effective security measures and manage and implement security risk programs to mitigate potential threats. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with required codes and regulations and utilize security technology such as cameras, access control systems, surveillance cameras, and intrusion detection systems. You will conduct and manage investigations related to security incidents, perform interviews as part of these investigations, and manage and process classified information in accordance with the NISPOM. Furthermore, you will navigate government websites for security-related information and compliance to stay informed and ensure adherence to security standards. Minimum Qualifications: Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's degree +3 yrs experience). Typically, 5+ years of related experience. Must have good physical security knowledge such as security technology (cameras, access control, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, etc.). Experience in managing investigations and conducting interviews. Knowledge of the NISPOM and classified information management and processing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in security operations, law enforcement, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with security management software or tools. Experience managing SCIFs, SAPFs, and open storage areas Familiarity with security management software or tools. Experience with incident response and crisis management. Compensation: Pay Range: $107,250.00 - $147,493.50 Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires current/active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
