Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking an Advisor III - Health to analyze and develop new health policy and/or strategy using both quantitative and qualitative methods. This includes leading the development of project activities, researching complex public health or policy issues and crafting possible solutions and recommending policy actions, lead the development and authoring of global public health technical, policy, options papers and reports, health policy and biosecurity. Additionally, this includes identifying policy or research gaps, developing recommendations that are supported by the findings, providing subject matter expertise in determining requirements and the conceptualization, design, development, verification and validation of health policy and/or strategy. Advise senior leaders and other high-level stakeholders on policy and/or research recommendations based on the findings. This position will be in support of the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). The ideal candidate will develop, lead, and manage complex quantitative analytic projects; align technical projects to program and leadership priorities; and effectively collaborate with internal and external partners. This role will primarily support technical execution, communication, and dissemination of diverse applied research and operational efforts conducted within the NIDHC and in collaboration with partners. Additionally, this individual is expected to mentor junior scientists and maintain technical proficiency in quantitative analytics (e.g., applied mathematics, biostatistics, epidemiology), complex dynamic systems, and modeling and simulation relative to health and medicine during crisis and conflict.
