We are seeking anOutside Sales Representative responsible for managing the entire sales process, from cold calling to the installation of Microbulk equipment, while meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in sales with Air Products, offering significant potential for growth!

This is a residence-based position, and the successful Candidate must live within the broader Seattle/Tacoma area.

The territory consists of the greater Seattle/Tacoma area including points north into Everett for existing customer support.

This is an entirely field-based position with the expectation that you will spend 75% of your time canvassing the territory and meeting potential customers. In addition to salary and bonus, we offer a generous company vehicle reimbursement program.

You will be responsible for selling industrial gases produced from our Puyallup, WA operating facility.

Our products include liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, and helium. Our applications and equipment support customers in the manufacturing, foods packaging, chemicals, laboratories, aerospace, and semiconductor sectors.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Successfully demonstrated account management, sales experience, and portfolio management.

  • Experience in a metric driven environment.

  • An excellent work history of successfully exceeding goals in outside sales.

  • Customer-facing Engineering or Operations experience.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • A positive demeanor with the ability to overcome objections.

  • Display a competitive drive to succeed.

  • A willingness and desire to learn.

  • Comfortability in conducting face-to-face cold calls.

  • A self-starter with an initiative-taking approach.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, and generate appointments with prospects through a variety of methods, including in-person visits, phone, and email outreach.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the Microbulk product suite, safety standards, technical competence, and sales process.

  • Record and maintain accurate, current, and relevant data in CRM.

  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge and internal resources to bring value to prospects during the sales process.

  • Grow a valid pipeline of prospects, work with prospects through the sales process and independently negotiate and close sales opportunities.

  • Ability to collect information and build presentations to internal and external partners.

  • Serve as the commercial information lead between the customer and internal team members during project execution.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • A college degree, preferably in business or engineering, is preferred but is not required.

  • In lieu of a degree, we will consider equivalent work experience coupled with a strong technical aptitude.

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Industrial gas experience is preferred but is not required.

  • A technical background is preferred but is not required.

  • A reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.

  • A keen desire to travel is required.

The expected pay range is $80,000 - $90,000 plus bonus. This is the range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position as individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
