Overview
*NOTE this position is based out of Hialeah and requires daily travel within Miami Dade County. It is M-Friday 8am - 5pm. $15-$17/hr. *Hourly range may vary depending on experience. Provides patients with environmental support by assisting with non-medical care under professional supervision of the Clinical Coordinator or Case Manager. Provides a bedside presence to those actively dying without family members or friends present. Responsibilities 1. Plans and prepares nutritious meals.
2. Prepares shopping list and shops for needed foods and supplies.
3. Manages household, organizes household articles to create a safe environment, and stores equipment and foods properly.
4. Performs essential housekeeping duties of light dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning, washing clothes, ironing, mending and changing bed linens.
5. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment. Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly.
6. Provides companionship by reading, holding conversations, and listening.
7. Participates in appropriate recreational activities and hobbies for social and sensory stimulation.
8. Assists patient in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc.
9. Assists patient on walks, community trips, doctor visits, banking, etc.
10. Reminds patient to take self-administered medications.
11. Informs clinical supervisor of any changes in assignment and concerns about the patient or the family.
12. Provides emotional support and promotes a sense of well-being.
13. Performs other job-related tasks as requested.
