JOB SUMMARY


  • Preparation and processing of weekly payroll.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • 1+ year of experience in an administrative office position is required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Previous payroll experience is preferred.
  • Experience with certified payroll is preferred.
  • Experience working in UKG (UltiPro) is preferred.

  • Must be able to prioritize and complete tasks on schedule.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Must exercise initiative, judgment, and confidence as well as exhibit a strong desire to acquire knowledge of company practices, policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Determine time worked from time sheets and verify proper authorizations.
    • Process weekly payroll and ensure timely and accurate data is maintained.
    • Assist employees with questions about payroll and other payroll-related issues.
    • Ensure payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
    • Enter new hire and termination information into UKG and accounting ERP.
    • Assist in preparing control documents for the use in reconciling payroll transactions.
    • Responsible for weekly certified payroll reporting, including but not limited to fringe benefits statements, deduction authorizations, and labor compliance reporting.
    • Perform various special projects or other functions assigned by the Payroll Administrator and/or Controller
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion regarding employee and company information
    • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
