Maintenance Technician - 84 Components Manufacturing Facility

Location: Winter Haven, FL
Schedule: Full-time

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment and physical plant systems within the 84 Components manufacturing facility. This role ensures that machinery operates efficiently, safely, and within quality standards to support daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery.

  • Maintain equipment within required quality and performance standards.

  • Train machine operators on proper operating and maintenance procedures.

  • Conduct daily equipment checks and audits.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Inspect, clean, lubricate, and service machines to ensure optimal performance.

  • Diagnose causes of unexpected breakdowns and perform timely repairs.

  • Order and install replacement parts as needed.

  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.

  • Collaborate with managers to schedule regular maintenance and minimize downtime.

  • Partner with product managers and engineers on new equipment, modifications, and test runs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to read and write in primary language.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Experience working with computer-based systems (e.g., MiTek machinery, Component Delivery System "CDS," Direct Drive System).

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment
  • Non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting with exposure to seasonal heat and cold.

  • Exposure to noise, sawdust, and other conditions typical of a truss manufacturing facility.

  • May occasionally work outdoors.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye, ear, head, and hand protection is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.

  • Manual dexterity and strength to repeatedly lift materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations requiring focus and high energy.

  • May require irregular or extended work hours.


Responsibilities

Perform regularly scheduled maintenance of all equipment/machinery.

Maintain equipment/machinery within tolerance of quality standards.

Train operators on correct operating and maintenance procedures.

Audit daily checks.

Maintain safe work/machine environment


Qualifications

Able to read and write in their primary language.

Able to stand for long periods of time.

Able to lift 50 pounds.
