Job Overview

As an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst, you will support the design, development, and deployment of scalable BI solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across Komatsu. You will work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI and Palantir Foundry. This role combines foundational BI development responsibilities with hands-on exposure to data engineering tasks-making it ideal for early-career professionals seeking growth in enterprise analytics.

Key Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI aligned with business requirements.


Support data modeling, DAX calculations, and query optimization to ensure performance and usability.


Participate in report validation, testing, and documentation for enterprise rollouts.


Assist in managing workspace access, refresh schedules, and publishing protocols.


Work alongside senior developers and analysts to contribute to Foundry pipelines, ontology modeling, and code workbooks.


Assist with data validation, QA, and root cause analysis within the Foundry ecosystem.


Gain familiarity with enterprise data governance and workflow automation features in Foundry.


Design and implement logical and physical data models to support business requirements.


Support ETL development tasks using Python, including data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment.


Contribute to building reusable data assets, APIs, and process automation to support reporting needs


Understand the source-to-target mapping and maintain documentation of data flows across platforms.


Participate in discovery sessions with business units to understand reporting needs and KPIs.


Work in an agile, collaborative environment with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams.


Support efforts to enhance self-service analytics across the business through training and enablement.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.


1-3 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.


Proficiency in Power BI with a strong understanding of data visualization principles.


Programming experience using Python for data manipulation and automation.


Foundational knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and relational databases.


Exposure to Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms.


Familiarity with tools like SAP, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM systems.


Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality concepts.


Experience with Git, ServiceNow, or agile project management tools.

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $70,000-84,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
