About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, and retrieving patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. Job Title: Medical Records Clerk Location: Baltimore, MD Employment Type: Full-Time Description * Retrieve and process patient charts from care areas in a timely manner. * Prepare charts for scanning and indexing into the electronic health record system. * Perform quality reviews to ensure all scanned documents meet high standards of accuracy and clarity. * Complete, register, and file death certifications in accordance with state regulations. * Support other non-professional roles within the department as needed. Skills Electronic medical record, scanning, and customer service Additional Skills & Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * Minimum 1 year of experience in document scanning/imaging in a high-volume hospital medical records department. * Must have experience indexing medical records. * Must have prior experience working in a hospital environment. * Ability to walk at least 40 minutes per day and carry up to 20 lbs. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
