Job Title: PACS/VR SPECIALIST- nights (hybrid) Description Employment Status:Full time Shift:Evening (United States of America) Facility:1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke CP01 Carilion Medical Center. Requisition Number:R155451 PACS/VR SPECIALIST- nights (hybrid) (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:The working hours for this position are 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. This position allows candidate to work 3 days- remote and 2 days on-site per week, if needed, must be on-site in 1.5 hours. The PACS/VR/RIS Application Specialist is responsible for project coordination, primary application support, application system functionality including - specifications, building, training, and implementation activities. Serves as the primary liaison between Imaging Services, TSG Department, Clinical Engineering, Vendors, and Clients on related systems and associated applications as defined by the Director/Manager. Provides application level assistance to Clients as appropriate. Serve as direct liaison for clinical informatics across departments at CFMH with TSG. Will chair CFMH computer advisory committee meetings as needed. Function both in a Clinical setting and Information System setting. May be exposed to radiant energy. Must be able to work with other Carilion Clinic Employees, Clinicians, Physicians, and Vendor Representatives. Must be able to work alone. Must be able to utilize computers, electronic equipment, and medical equipment. Must be able to maintain and display a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Communicate with Physicians, Clinicians, IT professionals, other Carilion Staff within all-Clinical service lines and Information Services. Move and lift medium weight computer equipment. Serves as a primary liaison for multiple applications/systems. Assist in the support of newly hired Staff throughout the orientation training period. Implements new applications/pathways to include pathway and screen development utilizing standard application tools and detailed specifications. Responsible for documentation of on-call procedures, pathway flow, and related policies and procedures. Coordinates and leads project implementations including project coordination of assigned new computer applications and enhancements. Responsible for making timely, effective decisions in relation to coordination of projects. Requires long hours of sitting and using CRT's/PC's and requires travel to remote client sites.
What We Require: Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Technology, or equivalent knowledge/experience. B.S. Degree desirable.
